After we have reviewed your form and followed up your references, we will invite you in for a chat. It is Chickenshed’s policy for all members, employees, students and volunteers over the age of 16 to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Please note that having a conviction will not necessarily prevent you from volunteering at Chickenshed. We actively promote equality of opportunity and we welcome applications from everyone.
Recognising Inspirational Volunteers
This year, we nominated Caz Dyer, who has volunteered as a photographer at Chickenshed for over 6 years. She is truly inspirational in the way she juggles her work commitments and is wholly dedicated to covering events, whether big or small and creating and processing memorable and heartwarming images. You may have seen her work featured in The Guardian or around the theatre.
Innovative Contributions
Ozlem Yanar Bach was nominated for her innovative contributions. Over the last three years, she has shaped her volunteering journey with a positive attitude and a willingness to support Chickenshed in any way she can. Currently, she supports the Theatre Manager team and assists in updating our databases. You can also find her performing with the Tales from the Shed team, and when you visit the theatre, she may be on duty as a Volunteer Assistant Duty Manager with our Front of House Team.
Chickenshed's Inspiration
The EVA also accepted nominations from organisations. In recognition of the work we do to inspire people of all ages and abilities, Chickenshed received an award from the Mayor of Enfield for being the most Inspirational Organisation.
